A career opportunity within the Company has arisen for a Treasury & Business Development Manager.

Reporting to the Group Director of Treasury & Business Development, the successful candidate shall be responsible to implement proper cash management processes, prepare cash flow and cash forecast reports and ensure availability of funds to cover payroll, payment of invoices and other financial obligations. To follow-up and analyze business development opportunities and implement best business practice in the areas of Treasury & Business Development services.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Determine cash requirements to finance deficit, and plan short-term surplus (if any), under the supervision of the Group Director Treasury & Business Development.
• Assist in the implementation of budgets, complying with management requirements, financial regulations and with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Perform proper cash management. Forecast cash flow to ensure the availability of funds to cover payroll, payment of invoices, investment initiatives and other commitments.
• Manage cash inflows and outflows and recommend ways to utilize idle funds for strategic investment and operating requirements. 
• Advice the Group Director Treasury & Business Development, on matters pertaining to foreign exchange movements and funds positions to protect it against adverse foreign exchange movements (if applicable) and shortfalls in liquidity.
• Optimize cash resources by coordinating with all the internal functions in the corporate office and the managed units such as receivables and payable units.
• Provide and implement guidelines for managing excess liquidity (short-term investment decisions) and procedures for money market transactions.
• Prepare MIS reports for the Group Director Treasury & Business Development with respect to its cash flows, asset-liability profile and foreign exchange exposures.
• Provide all necessary data to the required Finance division personnel for the preparation of the company’s financials and provide assistance where required.
• Analyze and assess business development opportunities in the hospitality industry locally and internationally to optimize QNH’s capital structure.
• Maintain relationships with funds managers, financial institutions, both locally and internationally.
• Assist in evaluating and managing the bank’s capital adequacy, liquidity, profitability and other ratios, with the concerned functions in the corporate office and managed properties of QNH.
• Recommend and implement measures to optimize the return from investments in securities and money market funds.
• Follow-up, analyze and verify investment opportunities to recommend best business practice within the QNH’s policies and procedures.
• Carry out ongoing evaluation of the company’s performance and facilities to recommend necessary improvements, where applicable, in line with management instructions.
• Generate adequate Treasury & Business Development management reports on a timely basis. 
• Carry out all other duties within the areas of Treasury & Business Development as and when requested by the Management.     

Qualifications:
University degree in Finance and/or Business Administration from a recognized university. Professional qualification such as CFA/CMA/CA is preferable.

Experience:
About 8 - 10 years of related experience, with a minimum of 3-4 years experience in a similar role, preferably in the Hospitality Industry.
