DOHA, Qatar— March, 2007— Sealine Beach Resort completes much anticipated renovations and announces upcoming projects in 2007 and 2008.

The year 2006 comes to an end with a fresh new look throughout most of the Sealine Beach Resort with a number of renovations, expansions and service enhancements that took place in the hotel rooms, chalets, villas, and its famous recreational facilities. The single largest project has been the complete renovation of all 77 of the resort’s guest units. The units, all of which feature a private balcony or terrace, have been completely redecorated and furnished. Renovations continue in the bathrooms with the installation of new marble, fixtures and vanity amenities.

The renovation which began in 2004 started with the 37 suites and superior rooms of the resort, followed by the conversion of the 20 chalets into two bedroom apartments in November of 2005 and concluded with the renovation of the 20 villas in July of 2006. .

According to the Chairman of Qatar National Hotels Company (QNH), H.E. Sheikh Nawaf Bin Jabor Bin Jassim Al-Thani, "we have invested large sums in the process of upgrading and refurbishing our services and facilities. The Sealine is the most popular resort for Qatari families which also caters to the residents in Qatar and neighboring countries and holiday makers from abroad. This was our record year in the number of guests that stayed at the resort. Taking that into consideration and after studying the requirements of the local community, we decided that nothing about the resorts facilities needs to change; it just dramatically has to be improved. We still offer family style resort accommodation, we still offer the best water sport facilities in the Mesaieed area and we still offer all of the services and amenities that one would expect from a QNH managed property." What has changed, according to H.E. Sheikh Nawaf, "every detail of the resort accommodation units is brand new. The later phase of the resort renovations will all help to provide a unique experience of a four-star stay in a resort-style home."

Part of a two year, 55 million QR investment to enhance Sealine Beach Resort's accommodation and facilities, Qatar National Hotels Company is overseeing building additional facilities and further renovations of the 349,309 sq.m resort, to be completed in phases commencing in the first quarter of 2007 and aiming to conclude in 2008.

Phase I of this multi-million Qatari Riyal project will begin with an additional 20 family style villas, alongside the remaining stretch of the resort's beach, consisting of 3 and 4 bedrooms, each villa with its own private pool. After having completed a successful re-design of the existing 20 villas and having witnessed their added popularity, the new villas will be even more luxurious than the current ones. A complete renovation and remodeling of the main kitchen in addition to a ladies swimming pool and new facilities dedicated to ladies and children will be completed by the end of 2007.
Emphasizing the property’s Qatari roots, phase II of the project will include the remodeling of the entire lobby area using ample woods in an array of earth shades and local styles. The renovated space will also feature natural-style furniture and fixtures providing expansive lobby windows soaking in the natural light, tranquil surroundings and panoramic sea views.
The welcoming ambience of the new lobby and entrance will please the resorts guests prior to an enjoyable overnight stay or a few hours on the ocean-front links. This phase will also include upgraded equipment and facilities to the back of the house areas.
