In 1988 by virtue of an Emiri Decree, a new Chairman and Board of Directors were appointed and the company acquired the ownership of the Sheraton Doha Resort & Convention Hotel. This step increased the company's assets substantially and it established itself as one of the leading hotel specialist companies in the Gulf Region.

Increasing activities resulted in the acquisition of the prestigious Doha Club, thereby expanding the company's area of operations to include the recreation and leisure industry. This new experience allowed QNH to strengthen its business interests and develop its expertise and its reputation for quality. Utilizing this great wealth of knowledge and experience, the company further diversified its activities to create new areas of business, including a Contract Catering Services Division and a Tourists' Transport Division. The company shortly after implemented two more projects aimed specifically at the tourist market: The Palm Tree Island and the Sealine Beach Resort in Mesaieed.

QNH combines a number of abilities and skills in the provision of specialised hotel services throughout the country. The company has always aimed to offer its clients both value for money and the highest possible quality of service - and the fact it continues to achieve both these aims is borne out by the company's notable growth over the past four years.

His Excellency Sheikh Nawaf bin Jassim bin Jabor Al-Thani took over in 2003. In four short years, QNH has become a leading hospitality owner and operator posting massive profits, but more importantly, has very big plans for Qatar and the world.
