DOHA, Qatar—March 05, 2008— Qatar National Hotel Company (QNH) announced that it has acquired the 170-room Park Hyatt Casares Golf & Spa Resort from Grupo Evamarina for € 70 million. It is the company's second acquisition outside Qatar since the 2006 purchase of the Renaissance Golden View Beach Resort in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

The Park Hyatt Casares Golf & Spa is in an advanced stage of construction with opening anticipated for the third quarter of 2009. The hotel, which will be the only property managed by Hyatt on the entire Costa del Sol and the third in Spain, will be of a five-star luxury category.

The exclusive hotel is located within one of the golf resorts on the Costa del Sol (Andalusia), "Doña Julia Golf Resort", between Marbella and Sotogrande, a short drive from the international airports of Málaga and Gibralter. The complex is situated on a hilltop overlooking the Mediterranean and mountains. Furthermore, the hotel is less than 30 km from Puerto Banús, considered as one of the finest marinas in the world as well as a meeting point for eminent figures in public life.

The total area of the hotel build area is an impressive 42.929 square meters and sits on a platform 75 meters above sea level. The breathtaking views are panoramic, 270° of the golf course and hills and up to 180° of sea views. The design is integrated within the architectural style of Doña Julia, thus achieving a solid, consistent impression. 

The hotel comprises of a 4-storey main building which hosts suites and rooms, main ballroom, multipurpose meeting rooms, lobby which includes a large central lounge, a bar, a café restaurant opening onto a patio for breakfasts, all with views of the 18 hole golf course, various lakes and the hills. There are a total of 101 villas, surrounded by vegetation, spread around the entire perimeter of the plot and with views of the golf course and the Mediterranean Sea.

The hotel features some 2,000 square meter swimming pool alongside a large tropical palm roof with a restaurant. In addition, the hotel boasts a Spa with an area of 4,000 square meters, fitness centre and 12 treatment rooms. Hotel guests will benefit from a 5,000 square meter commercial area anticipated to have a supermarket, 40 shops, 5 restaurants, a café, clinic, nursery and an open patio all of which complement the hotel operations.
