Tamara Khalil Assumes Newly-Created Communications Manager Role

DOHA, Qatar--November, 2006—Qatar National Hotels Company (QNH) has strengthened its Sales and Marketing team with the recent appointment of Tamara Khalil, to the newly created position of Communications Manager for the Company.

Khalil will be principally responsible for maximizing positive media, government and public relations through effective communication of the Company's activities and developing a new corporate profile for QNH holding company.
"We are pleased to welcome Tamara to our Company's Head Office" said Michael Marshall, Director of Sales and Marketing, Qatar National Hotels Company. "Her appointment comes at a perfect time for QNH; we are in the process of implementing new concepts for the Company and adding more hotels to the Company's portfolio, and through her efforts and experience we hope to build further awareness of our company's profile."
Khalil's varied hospitality career spans nine years, and her experience has seen her find strength in the marketing and communications field. She joins the company after her latest assignment at Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts in Jordan, where she led the role of Regional Communications Manager for the four hotels and resorts at the regional office in Jordan. The implementation of the company's new Corporate Identity Standards and re-branding of the Mövenpick properties across the Kingdom was also integral to her role.
'QNH offers me a rare and exciting opportunity to participate in the development of the sales and marketing department. Good communication is a vital part of any successful organization and I am enjoying the challenge of initiating the communications department at a time when QNH is at its peak with its current development of the Merweb brand in Qatar and further plans to expand the brand across the Gulf region," commented Khalil.
Khalil's successful communications background has landed her the key role with Qatar National Hotels Company, which possesses more than 50 per cent of the higher-quality hotel rooms in the country.
