SECOND ANNUAL QNH GOLF TOURNAMENT A GREAT SUCCESS DOHA, Qatar—May 16, 2007— Qatar National Hotels Company (QNH) united for the second year in a row with all hotels and resorts under the company's umbrella for the second Annual QNH Golf Tournament. The tournament was held once again at the prestigious Doha Golf Club, which offers one of the best golf courses in the Middle East. VIP clients were invited by QNH units, which include the recently opened and highly applauded Sharq Village & Spa, The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, Sheraton Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, Doha Marriott Hotel, Mövenpick Hotel Doha, Merweb Hotel Al Sadd and Sealine Beach Resort to enjoy a day of fun on the only greens and fairways in Doha. 72 payers showed their talents and competed for various valuable prizes offered by the hotels. The day started off with a shotgun at 12:30 pm after players were teamed up in groups of four and got acquainted over a light snack and refreshing drinks at the driving range. The play format was set in a way that all participants, even those with less experience, could get lucky. The Stableford competition was divided into three categories, according to the players' respective handicaps, with 3 winners in each flight. In addition, special prizes were identified along the course competing for longest drive, closest to the line and four nearest to the pin competitions. Exciting surprises were planned on holes 9 and 18 sponsored by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Doha and the Six Senses Spa at the Sharq Village & Spa. The tournament was followed by a cocktail reception with live entertainment concluding with an award ceremony dinner at the Doha Golf Clubs Gallery. Playing in flight A (handicap 0 to 16), victory went to Steve Chalk, claiming second was Hisham Al Rashid and in third place was Guy Strandemo. Playing in flight B (handicap 17 to 22), first prize went to Ellen Dissevelt followed by David Cassidy and Alan Crozier in third place. Playing in flight C (handicap 23 to 36), Dareen Clarke came in first with the Ambassador of Japan, Kochi Iwata, coming in second followed by Masahiko Horie in third place. Special prizes went out to Hisham Al Rashed for nearest to the pin on hole 3, Katsumi Aoki for nearest to the pin on hole 8, Dareen Clarke for nearest to the pin on hole 13, Abdul Aziz Moh'd for nearest to the pin on hole 17, Ellen Dissevelt for nearest to the line on hole 5 and Pete Nuty for longest drive on hole 10. As the main sponsor for the raffle draw prizes, Qatar Airways kindly offered two return tickers to any of their online destinations, in addition to another four valuable package vouchers offered by the sponsoring hotels.
