DOHA, Qatar—December 03, 2007— Qatar National Hotels Company (QNH) has taken another significant step in its expansion strategy with its managed brand, Merweb, and has just signed a management agreement with Mohammed Hamad Abdullah Al Nasr for a hotel in Doha's Old Al Ghanem area. The Merweb Hotel Central will comprise of 236 rooms and suites and is scheduled to open fall of 2008. The high quality 4-star business hotel, owned by Mohammed Al Nasr and operated by Merweb is situated in Doha's prime business area and within new residential and commercial development plans and only ten minutes from Doha International Airport. Each of the 236 well equipped rooms and suites at the Merweb Hotel Central offers high-tech business facilities and oversized windows to create a brighter environment. The hotel facilities include a main restaurant, cocktail lounge and bar, and two smaller sized dining rooms. Hotel guests will also be able to enjoy a wide array of leisure activities, including a swimming pool, fitness centre, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam and massage room. A banquet hall with two function rooms will be available for banquets and conferences.
