Head of Internal Audit

Wael joined Qatar National Hotels in June 2007. Previously the Chief of Internal Audit with Accor Hotels in Egypt, he was also in charge of Operational Reporting and Information Technology.

Wael has gained experience in the Middle East and Egypt; during his previous appointments he was involved with Accor hotel openings in Dubai and six openings in Egypt.

An Egyptian national, Wael completed his education in Business Administration from the Helwan University in Egypt with a further degree in Applied Accounting from the American University of Cairo.

He is a Certified Compliance Officer (CCO) and a Member of The International Academy of Financial Management (IAFM), The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), as well as being a Member of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee at Dhofar Touristic Company (SAOG).
